Ascension and the Dark Night of the Soul

I don't have much time to write a long post on this at the moment as I'm working on something else but I hope to get to it in time.

But I thought it was really important to post this resource which I rediscovered the other day and in particular the entry about the dark night of the soul which many identify with. This website is Wikipedia-type glossary of terms such as ascension, kundalini, timelines etc.

https://ascensionglossary.com/index.php/Dark_Night_of_the_Soul  Knowing this information helps us to be compassionate towards ourselves and others.

I very much identify with this entry as I have suffered from many of these symptoms, such as kundalini awakening that shifts energy through the nadi or meridians of the energy systems of the body. This causes the surfacing of buried memories and emotions from years past that can be spontaneous and challenging to deal with, as well as the need to confront our beliefs, addictions and resistance to change. Last summer, I had a period that lasted a few days where I could not stand up for very long due to extreme exhaustion, fever, headaches and a feeling of deep depression and hopelessness. Fortunately for me, I had the awareness of what I was going through and did not judge myself or force myself to do anything but allowed it to pass in its own time. I know that I experienced the death of the ego to a degree as I do not need to define my image or personality through identification with material preferences in the way that I used to. I feel as though I care less about superficial things and I am more focused on my mission.

There is a lot of information on this website and it is esoteric and in many cases difficult to understand so obviously discernment is necessary. But there is definitely some truth in there. I especially like this: https://ascensionglossary.com/index.php/Law_of_One

We accept truths that we are ready to accept. No judgment.
